CLOWNS

Where is the class and humbleness, USA?

After watching their third place victory… I wanted to throw my remote at the screen. Yea you guys placed with a broken team but c’mon… “THAT’S HOW WE ROLL”??? And to that commentator who pre-maturely crowned US the bronze… you idiot. He made me want to root for Germany to place third.

Others who share my feelings:

“The USA gymnastics team’s reaction to winning bronze was over exuberant…way over the top…and arrogant. They Chinese team’s win in the gymnastics is comparable to the US Men’s Basketball team winning by 30 points. What was disturbing was that the US guys acted like they won Gold?! Kids of this generation get praised for everything. The US guys could of been more gracious and appreciative instead of shouting and yelling like immature boys who just got their report card back with a C+ on it and celebrating the C+”

“pretty cocky for third place. no doubt you guys did a great job up against expectations.. but still. you guys got lucky other teams messed up. too arrogant for a lucky bronze.”

“I agree, embarassing guys! Take your “win” with stride and act like you are there to represent your country, not just your own overly inflated egos. (Especially coming in THIRD.)

China took GOLD and WON the event. Even THEY weren’t screaming “CHINA! CHINA! CHINA! THIS IS HOW WE ROLLLLL!!” into the camera!! And they actually had REASON too. But they are seasoned mature athletes who displayed their pride and dignity throughout. Take a lesson from them guys! Maybe you can actually WIN next time.”

“I would be embarrassed to have that squad represent my country… Their cockiness was over the top and you could tell they were just looking for camera time at the end.. Especially Horton who was trying so hard to have a motivating speech at the end LOL…

“In the end, great performances but overshadowed by a demeanor that made them look like cocky short kids”

“I agree they did a good job, but you can tell the guys were young and immature. They won bronze and acted like they WON the event or something… and even so, had Germany not had a few screw ups, USA wouldn’t have medaled at all. All I’m saying is that it was embarrassing to have them talking to the camera like USA took gold or something.. And SERIOUSLY the “this is how we roll” and “we goin swimmin in the river tonite!”comments were just plain juvenile and did not display the dignity or maturity you expect USA to display to the rest of the world. You don’t see swimmers winning bronze acting like out of control monkeys screaming into the camera.. this isn’t a high school basketball game guys, this is the Olympics – the world is watching! Behave that way.”

“Congrats to the guys! But, the frat boy immature comments and lack of humility was embarrassing. Especially the reaction to being first (for a round) then faltering on the final two apparatus. (Number 1? That’s how we roll?)”

Embarrassing.
